Profile

St John's is home to one of the UK's finest traditional parish church choirs. The treble line is made up of 22 children who represent 12 local schools, and they are ably supported by 17 adults on the alto, tenor and bass parts. The full choir sings at the main 10.30am service each Sunday in term time, as well as undertaking regular day trips and longer tours at home and abroad. Recent UK visits have included the cathedrals of Chichester, Coventry, Gloucester, Hereford, Salisbury, St Paul's, Truro, Wells and Winchester. Following a highly successful fundraising campaign during the 2017-18 academic year, the choir completed its first-ever overseas tour to Latvia in the summer of 2018. Plans for 2019 include services at St Paul's Cathedral in London, and at Bath Abbey. Keep up with the choir's latest news on Twitter: @SJBDevizesChoir
